Summary of Our Architecture & Terms
Vector Studio is an open, client-side, zero-knowledge browser interface for Amazon S3 Vectors. We do not operate user accounts or remote databases that store your credentials. All encryption occurs locally in your browser via WebCrypto. You maintain sole custody and responsibility for your AWS credentials and master passphrases.
01.Acceptance of Terms
By accessing Vector Studio, creating a local vault passphrase, or connecting an Amazon Web Services (AWS) account, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use or initialize the application.
02.Nature of Software & Zero-Knowledge Architecture
Vector Studio is a client-side web application designed to help engineers inspect, query, and manage Amazon S3 Vectors buckets and indexes.
- Client-Side Cryptography: Your master vault passphrase derives a 256-bit AES-GCM key using PBKDF2 (SHA-256 with 210,000 iterations) directly within your browser's WebCrypto engine.
- Zero Remote Storage: Encrypted connection payloads are saved only in your device's local IndexedDB database (
vector-studio) and an encrypted device session cookie (vs_vault_session,SameSite=Strict). Vector Studio servers maintain zero databases, logs, or backups of your keys. - Stateless API Proxy: Network requests destined for AWS S3 Vectors and Amazon Bedrock may pass through a stateless proxy purely to sign SigV4 headers or overcome browser CORS constraints; keys are never recorded, retained, or logged to disk.
03.Passphrase Custody, Universal Purge & Irrecoverability
Complete Universal Purge on Demand: If you wish to delete your passphrase or wipe your data, you can trigger the "Delete passphrase & credentials" feature at any time from Settings or the unlock screen. Clicking this and confirming immediately and irreversibly executes a universal purge: it drops the IndexedDB database, purges all local storage (including query history and UI preferences), clears session storage, and deletes all session cookies.
You maintain total custody of your encryption keys and are solely responsible for keeping secure backup copies of your credentials should you wish to re-add them in the future.
04.AWS Credentials, Costs & Permissions
You represent and warrant that you hold legitimate authority to use the AWS access keys and IAM roles inputted into Vector Studio.
- Least Privilege: We strongly advise using dedicated IAM users or temporary STS session credentials restricted strictly to Amazon S3 Vectors and Amazon Bedrock actions.
- AWS Billing & Fees: You remain solely responsible for any charges, quotas, or fees billed by Amazon Web Services arising from vector bucket storage, embedding generation (e.g. Amazon Bedrock Titan Text Embeddings V2), or similarity search queries executed through Vector Studio.
05.Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
VECTOR STUDIO IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS, OPERATORS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR INDIRECT/CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS SOFTWARE.
06.Modifications to Terms & Engineering Attribution
Vector Studio is an engineering initiative developed by Techity. We reserve the right to revise these Terms & Conditions as the software evolves. Updated terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the application constitutes your acknowledgment and acceptance of the revised terms.
